Day 1/Arrival
Meet and greet at the airport. Transfer to the hotel. Check in formalities at the hotel. Overnight at a hotel in Yerevan. (-/-/-)
Day 2/Yerevan Sightseeing Tour – Saghmoasavank Monastery and Kasakh River Gorge – Yerevan
After breakfast at the hotel, we will have a morning walk in the pink city of Yerevan. This ancient city is 29 years older than Rome. We will start walking in the most pleasant Republic Square with Government buildings, History Museum and Marriott Hotel surrounding it. In the evening, we can enjoy the colorful singing and dancing fountains. In case of desire we can visit a jewelry gallery, where we can buy exclusive jewelry. The jewels presented are executed in a single copy and are unique. Walking up one of the oldest streets in Yerevan – Abovyan Street – we will appear in the richest avenue in Yerevan – the Northern Avenue with many brand shops, luxurious cafes and restaurants. Our next stop – the Opera and Ballet House and the Swan Lake – face the Northern Avenue. We will enjoy our time in the fascinating weather of the sunny Yerevan while walking around Cascade Monument. Then we will walk up the huge stairs to the Park of Freedom. Here the hole city seems to be at our hand. Magnificent view. During the second half of the day, we will drive to Aragatsotn Region to explore the heartwarming 13th century Saghmosavank Monastery and enjoy the view over Kasagh river gorge. The complex itself is perched atop the gorge. Return to Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan. (B/-/-)
Day 3/Yerevan –Lake Sevan – Dilijan (Haghartsin Monastery and Parz Lake) – Yerevan
After breakfast at the hotel drive to the the azure Lake Sevan. It has a unique combination of great size, high mountain location, and comparatively “soft water”. Lake Sevan is one of the greatest freshwater high-mountain lakes of Eurasia. It is located at about 2000 meters above the sea level. (Optional* lunch tasting barbeque from Sevan trout). We will then explore the summer residence of the Favorite Armenian King Ashot the Iron (Asho Yerkat) - Sevanavank Monastery (9th century). After enjoying our time in the nature, we will drive to Dilijan to enjoy the 19th century appearance of the town. This wonderfully forested region is rich in mineral waters. Some of them are compared with Wichi in France and Davos in Switzerland. Visit the 13th century Haghartsin Monastery, situated amid dense forests and continue to Lake Parz (Clear Lake). After enjoying our time in the nature, we will have to return to Yerevan. Overnight at a hotel in Yerevan. (B/-/-)
Day 4/Yerevan – Stepanavan – Armenian Alphabet Monument – Yerevan
After breakfast at the hotel, a peaceful and scenic two and a half hours will take us to a forest with many unique trees and plants – Dendropark. Part of them is brought from the Yerevan botanical garden, the rest from different countries, such as Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Germany, France and elsewhere. Return to Yerevan with a stop at the Armenian Alphabet Monument. Overnight at a hotel in Yerevan. (B/-/)
